About Missouri Early Learning
The Best Professional Development Conference for Pre-K to 3rd Grade Teachers!
Welcome to the Missouri Early Learning Conference website. My name is Willy Wood, and I’m the Conference Coordinator. I want to thank you for visiting our site and congratulate you on finding one of the best annual professional development opportunities around for pre-K to 3rd grade teachers.
We at Missouri Early Learning know how challenging the job of a preschool or primary grades teacher can be—teaching young students reading, writing, math, and science; teaching them life skills and social skills; teaching them to love learning and motivating them to do their best. We know that the job is both challenging and rewarding in equal measure.
We have made it our mission to offer you all the help you need to tackle the challenges and reap the rewards. We do this by providing inspiration, illumination, and information you can use right away in your classroom–from some of the biggest and best speakers in the field of early childhood and primary grades education.
I guarantee you won’t want to miss this year’s conference! You’ll be energized by Marcia Tate of Worksheets Don’t Grow Dendrites fame; you’ll pick up some great strategies to use with your young readers from literacy expert Dr. Mary Howard; and you’ll laugh and sing along with Debbie Clement as she shares tips for infusing the arts into your everyday instruction.
In addition, you’ll learn practical strategies for teaching math from math guru Christopher Danielson (author of Which One Doesn’t Belong? and How Many?) and Stephanie Bainbridge (from Box Cars and One-Eyed Jacks); for teaching reading and spelling from literacy expert Jennifer Williams; for using ed tech effectively from Don Goble; and for using story as an essential tool for teaching a wide variety of skills from award-winning storyteller Sherry Norfolk.
All of that, plus many other informative breakout sessions on a wide variety of teaching topics, exhibits and book sales, autographing sessions, refreshments, and even a Friday night out event.
All in all, there really is no better professional development opportunity out there for pre-K to 3rd grade teachers. We hope you agree, and we hope to see you at this year’s conference!
